FAQ
Questions before
we get started.
Practical answers about working together and the supplier decisions I can help with.
Can we work together without a supplier search?
Yes. An engagement can focus on strategy, cost and margin, a negotiation, a supplier proposal, team coaching, or fractional leadership. Factory sourcing is one capability within a broader advisory practice.
What does executive and team coaching involve?
We work on real commercial situations: preparing a negotiation, reviewing a proposal, rehearsing a difficult supplier conversation, or debriefing what happened. The purpose is to develop judgment and stronger sourcing discipline inside your business.
Is the Supplier Risk Audit required?
No. It is one defined advisory engagement. Depending on your needs, the first piece of work may instead be an advisory session, coaching, a strategic project, or fractional leadership.
Does the audit include a written assessment?
Yes. It includes a written assessment, priority findings, and corrective recommendations. Patrick walks you through the options and the prioritized action plan. Scope, fee, and timing are agreed before work begins.
Who is a good fit?
Owners, CEOs, COOs, and teams at operating product companies facing consequential supplier decisions. The work is most useful when the decision involves commercial tradeoffs, supplier risk, or organizational capability beyond obtaining a quote.
What happens in the first conversation?
We discuss your situation, what is at stake, and whether Patrick’s experience fits the need. The introductory conversation is 45 minutes and carries no fee or obligation to start an engagement.
Do you only work with Amazon sellers?
No. Amazon and eCommerce operations are part of Patrick’s background, but ReadyProducts works with consumer-product brands across eCommerce, retail, Shopify, Amazon, and wholesale channels.
Can you help if we already have suppliers?
Yes. A lot of the work starts with reviewing the suppliers, terms, documentation, cost structure, and risk already in place before deciding whether a new supplier is actually needed.
Can you help established businesses, not just startups?
Yes. Established businesses often come in with a specific problem: supplier risk, tariff exposure, cost pressure, consolidation, or a production transition that needs outside sourcing experience.
Can you help us move production out of China?
Yes, when the move makes business sense. The first step is understanding cost, capability, quality, tariff exposure, and transition risk before qualifying an alternate region or factory.
Do you handle logistics?
ReadyProducts can support logistics coordination as part of a sourcing or production project. The focus is making sure supplier terms, timing, documentation, and handoffs are clean.
What size company is a good fit?
A good fit is usually a consumer-product business with real supplier decisions to make — often growth-stage brands from $500K–$15M revenue or established operators facing a specific sourcing challenge.
Can you help with supplier risk?
Yes. Supplier risk mitigation is central to the work: dependency, backup suppliers, PO discipline, quality controls, tariff exposure, margin risk, and factory visibility.
What happens on the first call?
We look at your current supplier setup, cost structure, documentation gaps, tariff exposure, and likely sourcing risks. If there is not a clear fit, you will hear that directly.
